Terri Schiavo

The released results of Terri Schiavo's autopsy reveal nothing that couldn' t have been discovered, understood better or treated while she was alive. It also poses more questions than it answers.

Media Culpa, La Shawn Barber and Fire Ant Gazette make some good points on the matter.

Gates-Buffett merger

Priest: Buffett is 'Dr. Mengele of philanthropists'

So, Warren Buffet helped to fund the research behind the RU-486 pill. Well, it didn't take long for the Gates-Buffett merger to get a negative spin. (Is it a gift, a pledge, or a merger?) Of course, this doesn't bode well for the pro-life movement, but we don't want to underestimate the good these charitable foundations can do also. Last week it was announced that the Gates Foundation would give $12.2 million (along with the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund's $5 million) to help restore library services in Louisiana and Mississippi.
