Star Trek: Nemesis
Found some old notes about Star Trek: Nemesis. I saw it the day after opening day which means I was the last Trekkie to see it.
Pros:
- Great script. Thanks, John Logan!
- Excellent production design. The movie looked great.
- Wesley Crusher was in the opening scene.
- Great chemistry between Picard and Shinzon. That relationship made the movie.
- Great space battles!
- That was one mean, ugly Remulan ship!
- No love interest for Picard.
- Cameos were kept to a minimum.
- That was Ron Perlman?
Cons:
- These actors are really showing their age.
- The Jeep joyride on the desert planet.
- The heavy makeup on Brent Spiner. Noticing that really took me out of the movie.
- Frakes channeled Stanley Hazzard one too many times.
- Wesley was in a Starfleet uniform. Didn't he run off with the Traveller at the end of his run on TNG?
- Most of the cast had little to do as usual.
More pros than cons, so I guess it's a winner!
